Delicious and nutritional goodness straight from the Warm Heart of Africa.

We grow, process and pack five different varieties of mangoes to keep our growing customer base satisfied. We produce fruit from October to March each year, offering counter seasonal supply.

Once harvested, our mangoes are transported to our 10,000 m2 facility in the center of Salima, some 20 minutes by tractor from our anchor farms. Once there, the fruit is allocated for fresh packing, washing, sorting, peeling, cutting and drying. We have 360 Mt of cold stores to manage fruit temperatures and ripening prior to dried processing or fresh packing for export.

dried mangoes

A sweet taste, with every bite.

Only our very best raw materials are processed, and we don’t use any added sugars or concentrates. We’re a bulk exporter enabling sellers to repackage in ways that work best for their markets.

Mangoes are washed, peeled and cut …

Then they’re sorted and dried…

Then graded and trimmed to client specification…

Finally the dried mango is packed into 2.5 kg food grade bags, passed through metal detection and packed into 12.5 kg boxes ready for export.

Dried mango exports currently make up 90% of our sales.

fresh mangoes

We grow two mango varieties for fresh export: Alphonso and Tommy Atkins.

Alphonso: Oblong in shape, colour ranges from purple to yellow with a deep sweet taste.

Tommy Atkins: Medium oval shape, dark red blush covers most of the fruit with green and orange accents, mild and sweet taste with firm, fibrous flesh.

For fresh mangoes, first we start with grading where the size, maturity and product quality is assessed.

Then our mangoes undergo a hot water bath treatment – a phytosanitary requirement for export markets…
Then they are quality inspected (wet fruit inspection) prior to grading…
Then they are dried prior to…
Secondary quality inspection (dried fruit inspection)…
Then they are graded and sized on a processing line…
Then they are packed into boxes to customer specification…

Finally they go through a last quality inspection before being palletised for sea or air freight.
